If you go into the park today, you’re in for a COVID surprise.
SYNOPSIS
Susan braves the outside world for the first time, following all the COVID rules to a T for a relaxing afternoon in the park.
If only she knew what was waiting for her!
The Project
A COVID inspired short written by Roxanne Prophet one evening after work with a glass of wine.
After spending month encouraging others to create during lockdown, she finally put in some time to make something herself.
The first of many short collaborations between Kino Sydney and Film Champs.
Just one Numpty was created with some brilliant Kino regulars who made the shoot a dream to work on.
The entire film was written, shot and edited in just under a week.
A FILM CHAMPS AND KINO SYDNEY PRODUCTION
ABOUT KINO SYDNEY
Your monthly dose of short cinema.
Kino‘s ethos is: “Do well with nothing. Do better with a little. But do it now.” They aim to provide motivation for people to make shorts films no matter their level of expertise. Don’t complicate, procrastinate, but create for its own sake.
Kino is non-competitive. They aim to foster the creative development of both aspiring and established filmmakers and to encourage fellow film lovers to make and produce films just as often as they watch them. As Stanley Kubrick said, “The best education in film is to make one.”
During COVID they have been running their monthly screenings as a live stream on youtube.
